ABOUT / BIO – PSYCHOLOGIST JAMES MUNGAI

Psychologist James Mungai is a counsellor, youth mentor, mental health advocate, trainer, and the CEO & Founder of Unlocking Potential Therapy (UPT).

He is passionate about helping young people navigate identity, emotional wellbeing, relationships, personal growth, leadership, and substance-abuse challenges. His work focuses on creating safe and supportive spaces where young people can express themselves without fear of judgment, discover their strengths, and develop practical skills for life.

Through Unlocking Potential Therapy, James facilitates counselling, peer-counselling training, youth mentorship, leadership development, school programs, community outreach, and mental-health awareness initiatives.

He also works through MAYOUTHS BILA DRUGS, advocating for a generation that can make informed, healthy choices and live free from substance abuse.

His approach is centred on empathy, confidentiality, creativity, teamwork, discipline, respect, and practical transformation.

His message is simple:
